Little reminder: Tonight's the movie streaming night! 9:30pm Eastern (8:30 Central, 7:30 Mountain, 6:30 Pacific). The movie is Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Everyone is welcome, chat box will be in-character with ooc in brackets. I'll edit this post at around 8:30 Eastern with a link to the livestream. Come and go as you please, arriving late or leaving early are completely acceptable! And most importantly... Let's have fun! :]

I had fun. Playing off of each other and the film in character was a new experience, and one I'd like to repeat. Any thoughts on what the next movie might be?

Verity wants a nature documentary.

But a happy one. No sad bits allowed.

I will go on the hunt for a good nature documentary. The hard part is going to be finding one that isn't sad. Though I imagine an episode of the Earth series would be a good one if we ever did a night with a few episodes of TV shows!

Oh, what about Cosmos?

Cosmos! That's not a bad idea for the Nexus! It's got space, it's got facts, it's got spacefacts. I'll have to cruise around to pick the best episode. One of the episodes is specifically about life on earth and the possibility of ~life on other planets~ which might have some good humorous potential interspersed with fun facts.

But this means we obvs need a movie about magic too. Maybe The Wizard of Oz?

I THOUGHT ABOUT WIZARD OF OZ. Actually I think about it all the time because I'm a huge and unapologetic Wicked fangirl, but that's unrelated. Actually... If I could find a good recording of Wicked we might have to go on a magical musical crusade into another pan-reality wonderland where guys from Iowa Kansas are causing mischief.

I have never seen Wicked. I love the soundtrack. Verity is absolutely #TeamElphaba.

I want to pick the movies by what might generate the most conversation. Something that resonates with a certain character or will help others understand (or MISunderstand) certain parts about other people's world. Tonight we learned to punch Nazis, for example!

To be honest I'm open to any and all suggestions, if you have ideas! Otherwise I'm going to stick with classics or pick something that seems thematic that month. I'll always ask permission if a movie might break a character's 4th wall. Imagine all these Marvels watching The Avengers...

Verity is every teenage girl who thinks (knows) that Loki is Just Misunderstood™ and only needs a hug. Meanwhile he's like mind controlling people and murdering innocents and everyone else is like "Honestly Verity, what is your damage?"

Be fair. Verity's well aware that Lokis need more than "a hug". They need all the hugs.
